SFAA archers attended the UKIFAC in New Ross, Ireland over the weekend and the only thing warmer than the welcome was the weather!
Both days off shooting were completed in blazing sunshine, as the field course was laid out in a field, archers tan was evident on all, umbrellas that had been in case of rain were used to get some shade.
The course's were laid out in the amazing grounds of Woodville House. Thanks has to go to the owners who have fully supported the event taking place.
The hunter course was in a steep woodland, with some incredible shots on some very interesting terrain and target placement.
There was message of encouragement on each target marker, and wonderful fairy doors located around the course, which brought a smile to archers faces, it likely that more pictures were taken of these doors than four arrows in the X as that was a rarer sight than the fairies themselves on this very tough course.
SFAA archers did very well this weekend we now have many new UK champions as well as silver and Bronze medals being brought back to Scotland.
To top off the weekend the Scottish team, lead by team captain, Dennis Watson, won the team event.
The overall feeling of the weekend was of joy, after such a long time of not seeing other archers and friends of the home nations there was hugs and tears as good byes were said. This UKIFAC will be remembered as the one that in 2022 brought our family of archers back together again.
Couple more photos of UKIFAC.😉
Well done to all our Archers who went along to represent Scotland. 😁😁😁
